#star trek #honest to god i think my most favorite thing about kirk #is the way that he just… he learns the How Conversation Works Here rules in a new place and then he _embodies_ them #figures out what framework the people he’s talking to are operating under and fits himself right into it with them #he does this all the time and it’s PHENOMENAL and i love it so much #sometimes it’s Gangster Planet sometimes it’s Feral Plague Children planet sometimes it’s whatever the sweet hell else #but he always does it and i love it every single time (via @cthulhu-with-a-fez)
